Penn Fields School Aims and Values

We aim to provide a secure, happy environment where all children's individual needs are recognised and catered for. We place special emphasis on literacy, numeracy, scientific exploration and ICT. We aim: To provide a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum for every child with access to the National Curriculum; while considering each child as an individual with their own strengths and needs. To develop the skills, interests and attitudes necessary for everyday living. To encourage in pupils an awareness of personal and social attitudes, enabling them to become a valued and contributing member of his/her society. To develop in every child understanding and respect for other cultures and ensure the opportunity for intellectual, moral and spiritual growth. To help pupils achieve desirable attitudes to learning; to develop lively, enquiring minds, the ability to question, reason and apply themselves to the task in hand. To assist with the acquisition of high standards, self-discipline and a useful and acceptable code of behaviour. To create an environment where all pupils are able to learn, feel safe and secure and can gain in self-confidence thus improving their own self-image. To provide every pupil with the opportunity to succeed and develop a positive self-image. To work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members. Downloads: Penn Fields School Aims:
