School Meals and Milk

School Meals School meals are cooked and served on the premises and we encourage a healthy eating programme. There is a ‘cafeteria’ service with a ‘knife and fork club’ family service supporting those who need support at meal times. Facilities are also available for children who wish to bring sandwiches. Pupils are not allowed to bring fizzy drinks or cans of pop as part of their lunch due to our Healthy Eating policy. Water is freely available both in the dining room and at various points around the school. For those not entitled to free school meals the cost is £2.10 per day (£10.50 per week) for lower school pupils and £2.20 per day (£11.00 per week) for upper school pupils. Dinner money is accepted by the class teacher on the first day of the week and should be sent in a clearly labelled envelope giving the pupil’s name, class and the amount enclosed. Should you wish to change from school meals to packed lunches, or vice versa, please give the office staff at least one week’s notice. School Milk If your child is in classes Acorn, Ash, Elm or Oak you can choose to have semi-skimmed milk provided. This optional service costs £11.00 per term which should be paid to the school office in the first two weeks of a term. Pupils entitled to free school meals are also entitled to free school milk.
