Black Country Rainbow Hour

The Black Country Rainbow Hour Campaign seeks to provide children and young people with regular access to emotional well-being, creative and physical activities, in light of the current situation.

Penn Fields is one of 125 schools, partners and organisations, encompassing over 28,000 children across the Black Country, committed to this initiative.

Please see the attached Rainbow Books, then choose activities that would be accessible for your child. The activities have been designed to ensure they can be done safely at home.

This holistic approach to children and young people’s well-being focuses on the following three Cs:

- Promoting communication to support with healing and coping.

- Regular sessions to support students through routine and consistency.

- Activities that give students a sense of control, to support their emotional reactions to events.

We would love to hear how your child has been taking part in the Rainbow Hour! Please share any photos at keystage12@pennfields.com, keystage3@pennfields.com or keystage45@pennfields.com.
